The Paradox of Choice

Barry Schwartz wrote the book, "The Paradox of Choice." In it he outlines how having so many choices can actually be a detriment and can add all kinds of stress to our lives.

I experienced the stress of choice when trying to jump into the blogging world. Which blogging service to choose? Which topic to write on? Should I just write about my family and our adventures in unschooling? If I do that, can I also talk about my spiritual journey? How can I talk about educating our children in freedom and trust without also including spiritual concepts on how to actually achieve freedom and trust. But if I only talk about unschooling, will that limit my audience to only unschooling families? If so, what about all those parents who are striving to be more respectful and conscious with their kids? And if I keep it to just parents, what about all my childless clients who come to me for energy work and spiritual coaching?

All those questions and choices kept me in indecision and non-action, until today when I decided to just write a blog on all the things in life that I find interesting and what makes up my life - a Sunday Kind of Life! Yeah, that's it. I'll write a Sunday Kind of Blog.

So here it is. All Sunday. All the time. If you are a personal friend or family member, you'll keep up-to-date on what's going on in my life. If you are an unschooling family or striving to get there, you might find tips and ideas to help you on your journey. If you are one of my clients or on a spiritual path, you might find insights to bring more peace and joy into your life. Or if you just stumbled onto my blog from taking the many twists and turn in the blogosphere, it just might not be a mistake that you are here. Stick around and read for a bit!

For whatever reason, by Divine appointment or just shear coincidence, thanks for taking a little time to be part of my journey!

Love All Ways,
Sunday

  2. Gosh, this made me laugh, Sunday! I can't tell you how many times I've stood in the toothpaste aisle and moaned 'WHY are there so many kinds of toothpaste!' LOL.

Looking forward to reading more of your always insightful musings :)
